Order Management: From Counter to Kitchen
New in Glownet Touch: Connected ordering, flexible payments and kitchen fulfilment across multiple service channels.
Product Orders is now available in Glownet Touch, connecting order management, payment collection and kitchen fulfilment within Glownet's wider commerce platform. Built alongside existing POS, wallet, loyalty, discounts and rewards capabilities, the release extends how operators can manage transactions and guest experiences across different service environments.
From quick-service counters and restaurants to stadiums, attractions and hospitality venues, operators can manage orders from creation through to fulfilment, with an integrated Kitchen Display System (KDS), connected printing and support for multiple ordering channels.
Four service modes, one workflow
Product Orders supports different service models within the same platform:
- Walk-in: Take orders and payments at the counter before sending them to preparation.
- Pickup: Manage collection orders using unique references and optional guest details.
- Tab: Open running orders, add items throughout service and settle later.
- Table/Seat: Associate orders with tables or assigned seats, supporting restaurant service and seated environments such as stadiums, arenas and concert halls.
Orders share a reference across the POS, KDS and preparation slips, and can be retrieved by order number, guest or linked RFID/NFC and QR credentials.
Flexible payments and order management
Support prepaid and postpaid ordering, with payment collected upfront or later for supported service modes.
Orders can be unpaid, partially paid or fully paid, with settlement through cash, credit or debit cards, digital payments and Glownet wallets, including split payments.
Staff can amend unpaid orders by adding or removing products, adjusting quantities or reassigning tables or seats. Changes are automatically reflected in the KDS, with updated preparation slips where configured.
Integrated Kitchen Display System (KDS)
The KDS provides an automatically updating view of orders and their preparation status, with:
- Configurable workflows: Custom preparation stages, from pending through to completion.
- Item-level tracking: Progress individual products independently within an order.
- Order prioritisation: Colour-coded timing indicators with configurable thresholds.
- Advanced filtering: Filter by order status, service mode, payment state or table.
Connected kitchen printing supports automatic preparation slips, with dedicated add-on and cancellation slips for order changes, plus manual reprinting directly from the KDS.
Multiple ordering channels, connected fulfilment
Orders from different channels flow into the same fulfilment workflow:
- POS: Staff-managed ordering across all supported service modes.
- QR and online ordering: Guest-facing ordering through external QR menus for pickup, tab and table service.
- Glownet Wallet: Guests can order and pay directly through the event wallet's product ordering interface.
- API integrations: External applications and hospitality systems can create orders, update items and manage fulfilment through Glownet's Product Orders interface.
Part of a connected commerce platform
Product Orders can be enabled at station level, with configurable service modes, payment defaults, preparation stages and kitchen printing.
