Introducing Glownet Pay for External POS
Accept in-person payments from Glownet wallets anywhere.

Cashless should not stop at the edge of a closed ecosystem.
Today, Glownet is introducing Glownet Pay, allowing third-party applications, POS systems, vending machines, kiosks, and self-service outlets to charge Glownet wallets.
This enables partners to accept Glownet RFID and eTag wallets directly inside their own Android applications and hardware, without replacing their existing systems or forcing guests into a different payment experience.
What is Glownet Pay?
Glownet Pay allows applications to accept payments from Glownet Wallets using Payment Intents. An Intent is an app-to-app payment request that allows any Android application to delegate wallet payments to the Glownet app.
In simple terms:
- Your application requests a payment from Glownet
- Glownet processes the wallet payment on behalf of the third party app
- The result is returned to the original app
All wallet validations, balances, and transaction handling remain within the Glownet platform.
Why this matters
Event sites and venues increasingly operate a mix of systems. Many already run:
- Custom POS software
- Vending machines and kiosks
- Self-service bars, beer taps, or wine dispensers
Until now, accepting Glownet wallets in these environments usually meant complex integrations or running separate payment systems.
Glownet Pay removes that friction and allows wallet payments to work consistently across the site.
Key capabilities
With Glownet Pay, external systems can:
- Accept Glownet RFID and eTag wallets as a payment method
- Trigger payments and refunds from their own Android app
- Receive clear, real-time transaction responses
- Operate in both attended and unattended environments
- Rely on Glownet to manage all wallet and NFC logic
- Track and reconcile transactions
- Work offline
The integration requires no special Android permissions and works with the standard Glownet Touch app.
Designed for real-world environments
Glownet Pay was built for live event conditions where speed and reliability matter.
The flow is simple:
- An external POS or kiosk app sends a payment request
- The Glownet Touch app takes control
- The customer scans their RFID wristband or eTag
- The result is returned to the original app
Timeouts, cancellations, refunds, and connectivity checks are supported as part of the same intent flow.
Both applications run on the same Android device, ensuring fast and reliable communication even in high-volume or low-connectivity environments.
Who this is for
Glownet Pay is ideal for:
- Technology and Event partners running their own POS software
- Hardware vendors building kiosks or vending solutions
- Venues operating self-service bars and drink dispensers
- Operators who want wallet acceptance without replacing existing systems
If it runs on Android, it can accept Glownet wallets.
A more open cashless ecosystem
This release reflects Glownet’s wider approach to cashless payments. Rather than forcing operators into a single POS or workflow, Glownet Pay allows wallets to work across multiple systems while keeping a unified guest experience and a single source of truth for balances and transactions.
Glownet Pay is available now.
