December in Mozambique isn’t just a month; it’s a season of rhythm, sand, and celebration. This past year, our partners at TABATER Events took center stage, successfully managing a staggering 22 events across the country.

But managing that volume, especially in diverse environments from city centers to remote beaches, requires more than just a plan. It requires a bulletproof system. As the founder of TABATER Events puts it:

“Glownet stands out for its reliability, speed, and ease of use. The platform simplifies cashless payments and access control while delivering clear, actionable insights for organizers. The offline capability is a must for our operations in Africa.”

With that foundation of reliability, TABATER was able to deliver some of the most iconic moments of the season. Here are four highlights from their incredible December run.

1. Daft Punk - The Tribute Show (Dec 2)

The month kicked off with a futuristic pulse at the iconic South Beach Maputo. This unique experience brought fans together to celebrate the legendary duo in a setting that perfectly matched the high-concept energy of the music.

2. Sabor do Verão: The 10th Anniversary (Dec 20)

Maputo turned up the heat for the 10th anniversary of the Sabor do Verão Festival.

  • The Crowd: Approximately 6,000 people joined the celebration.

  • The Talent: International DJs including Tchami, Dirtybros, Lemex, and Benny Bubblez.

  • The Operations: TABATER handled the entire ecosystem -ticket sales, access control, and the cashless environment — ensuring a frictionless experience for thousands of attendees.

3. Mozbeat Fest (Dec 27)

For those seeking a “paradisiacal” New Year’s, Tofo Beach was the destination. Mozbeat Fest is a 7-day marathon where spending the first day of the year on the sand has become a local “must-do.” TABATER ensured the technology kept pace with the week-long celebration.

4. Dathonga Festival (Dec 27)

Running concurrently at Tofo Beach, Dathonga Festival placed Mozambican authenticity at the heart of the celebrations. This immersive 7-day festival blended amazing music and local food, showcasing the true spirit of the coast through a seamless, tech-enabled guest experience. We are proud to support TABATER as they continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible for the Mozambican event industry. If December was any indication, the future of the region’s festival scene is bright, seamless, and undeniably authentic.
