Glittering, glamorous and above all, gay. Brighton Pride 2018 was definitely a weekend to remember.
During the weekend, over 300,000 people descended on the streets ofBrighton to join in the parades and parties celebrating all things LGBTQ. This year, the UK’s biggest Pride festival held in Preston park welcomed headline performances from Pixie Lott, the fabulous Chic and Nile Rodgers and the long awaited return of the Queen of Pop, Britney Spears.
With a record attendances and a variety of events and venues across the weekend, Pride organisers needed to find a solution to monitor access for ticketed events and regulate crowd control. Enter Glownet.
Glownet partnered with Brighton and Hove Pride Festival to optimize and streamline the event experience with RFID services for two events at Brighton Pride: The Pride Village Party and Pride Festival. Under one system, Glownet delivered crowd monitoring, check-in and access control technology at all gates and entry-points at the events.
Our easy-to-deploy mobile solution meant that pre-event, festival goers could collect their wristbands at the box office in Brighton. This reduced queue time for entering the festival, optimizing the customer experience even further.
Glownet are proud to have contributed to the smooth, safe and successful running of Brighton and Hove Pride 2018, and look forward to returning to the Gay capital of the UK again soon.
