Growing pains aren’t always painful. We’re proud to say that this weekend, we are deploying four events in four different countries across two continents. It’s a Happy Halloween for us indeed!

Starting in order of time zones, we will be deploying our Instant Cashless solution at Day of the Dead Australia Warehouse Project, in Melbourne. Following the success of the Sydney edition 1 week ago, we will continue to offer a great experience down under at our second Australian delivery.

Detonate Festival in the UK is following suit in the cashless revolution, offering their 5,000+ customers the benefit of shorter queues, faster transaction processing at bars, and increased security with our instant cashless solution.

Brunch Electronik, in Barcelona has added a Halloween edition to their popular event and continue to enjoy the benefits of our Instant Cashless system as they’ve done with all their Brunch and Piknic events in 2015. Increased spend, faster transactions and full visibility and transparency into their operations.

Finally, after our successful deployment at Kappa Futur Festival this summer, the promoters from this event have decided to implement Instant Cashless to their 15,000+ festival, Movement, in Turin this Halloween.

This fall, Glownet and Yumiwi, two Event technology start-ups, announce their global partnership, offering a complete suite of RFID technology solutions to the live event industry that is revolutionising the market.

Both tech companies, born from on the ground experience and based in Europe, have completely integrated their solutions and joined forces to fully enhance promoters, brands and festivalgoers experiences.

Glownet is one of the leading RFID service providers to the live events industry, principally focusing on music festivals. GMF 2015 Partners with Glownet

Glownet is happy to announce that we will be partnering with Gibraltar Music Festival to offer our fully cashless solution as our 36th event for the 2015 season. Graduating from last year’s token currency, GMF will be implementing our cutting edge cashless system at their two day festival with an estimated 15,000 festival-goers per day.

GMF will benefit by faster transaction times, increased security due to the reduction of cash on site, and a live reporting suite, which will enable them to make quick decisions on the fly such as real time drink promotions. Our robust post event reporting tool will allow the festival to make smart decisions for future events and increase efficiencies across the entire festival by being able to clearly see and analyze data which archaic token systems cannot offer.

Our network independent cashless solution will not only benefit the festival organizers, but will also grant festival-goers the opportunity to fully enjoy the main thing they come for; the music. By “wearing a wallet” on a wrist, personal security is increased, thus giving festival-goers peace of mind to let loose and enjoy themselves. Sónar is Going Cashless

Glownet will be partnering with Sónar on 18 to 20 June in Barcelona to provide their festival-goers with a completely cashless festival made possible by our RFID technology.

Since its induction in 1994, Sónar has been on the cutting edge of both music and technology. This is why we’re excited that they’ve trusted Glownet to provide cashless RFID solutions and take their festival experience to new heights. We will be partnering with them at both the day and night events.

Our cashless RFID system offers an array of benefits to the festival and festival-goers. Festival-goers will benefit from reduced queues, faster service across all bars and vendors, and peace of mind by being able to wear and safely keep track of their wallets. The festival will experience a higher level of security by cutting down on cash points and concentrating them at centralised top-up stations where guests can add credit to their wristbands. Since Glownet will be servicing the entire festival, festival-goers will be able to use any credit topped-up during the day at the night portion as well. At the end of the event, Glownet enables promotors to provide festival-goers with refunds for any remaining credits, an offering which is lacking in other festival currencies like tickets and tokens.

Industria Musical, a publication dedicated to covering the Spanish music business, has named 2015 the year of cashless RFID in Spanish festivals. We’ve always known that cashless is the future for festivals, and the number of major Spanish music festivals, such as Sónar and Barcelona Beach festival, among other big names, adopting our RFID technology continues to attest to this. It’s a revolution which we’re thrilled to be a part of!

Moving into Belgium this summer, we’re pleased to announce that Paradise City has put their confidence and trust in Glownet’s system for the first installment of their festival on July 4th and 5th 2015. It will be held on the grounds of an old castle, and is sure to be an amazing event. At Glownet, we’re all about making people’s lives easier and more enjoyable, from the festival organizers to the guests themselves. Forging new partnerships – Live Nation Spain

 

 

Live Nation Spain has jumped on board to offer their customers an amazing cashless experience by implementing our RFID Access Control and Cashless Payment Solutions. We will be joining them at Barcelona Beach Festival on July 18th as well as the first edition of Hard Rock Rising on July 24th and 25th right on the beach!

These pioneer events in Spain will be implementing a fully cashless solution to their. From the moment a guest arrives on site, they’ll instantly see the convenience of our system starting with our Express Check-in solution. By providing each guest with their own RFID wristband, the festival will be able to offer their customers the comfort and peace of mind of not having to keep track of their wallets. It will also enable bars and vendors to operate more efficiently and quickly with our easy to use Point of Sale System. This will thereby provide a more enjoyable experience to customers who will find a dramatic    decrease in queues and will be able to more fully enjoy the festival and great music.

Kicking off 2015: Fully cashless delivery in Barcelona

We’re partnering up with Brunch Electronik, little brother to Piknic Electronik, in Barcelona for a fully cashless delivery at their 6 events. These unique events held on 2 Sundays per month from March until May are family friendly, with activities for kids and live electronic music for everyone to enjoy.

We’ll be implementing our gPASS and gPAY solutions to enable express check-in and cashless payments at bars and vendors. By using RFID wristbands, guests will save time at the entrance with shorter queues and will be able to quickly purchase their drinks and food and get back to enjoying the festival!

The event sold out last year, and we’re hoping for the same this time around. Post event, we’ll update how it all unfolded. This is an exciting way to kick off the 2015 festival season!
